Monroe County Commissioners
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners took the following actions during Wednesday’s meeting:
• The annual 2018 SAVIN Maintenance and Service Agreement with the PA District Attorneys Institute was executed in order to continue using the PA SAVIN System to perform mandatory notifications to victims of crimes.
• A Building Use Policy and Agreement with St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tannersville was executed in order to use the church as a polling site for the May 15 and Nov. 6 elections in 2018, at a cost of $100, subject to the solicitor’s final approval.
• The 2018 Scope of Services Agreement with Engle-Hambright and Davies was executed for $28,250 in order to continue providing risk management, technical, and brokerage services to the County for the Workers’ Compensation Program.
• The Community Services Block Development Grant Program Contract for Jan. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2022 was ratified.
• A Range Rental Contract and Billing Agreement with Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod and Gun Club was executed in order to allow the Sheriffs’ Office to use the facility for weapons training for a total of $400, subject to the solicitor’s final approval.
• The Emergency Solutions Grant Program Contract with the PA Department of Community and Economic Development was executed from Jan. 1 through June 30, 2019 for $170,000, to support housing efforts for the homeless.
• Sharon Laverdure was appointed to the Eastern Monroe Public Library, term to expire on Dec. 31, 2020.
• Maria Picon was appointed to the Community Service Administrative Board with a term to expire on Dec. 31, 2020.
• Several vendors were added to the County List of Approved Vendors, including Kappe Associates for the Commissioners Office, Fortney Packages for the Sheriffs’ Office, Finest Shade for the MDJ Court Administration and Henry Murray for Aging.
