Northern Lehigh School Board approves personnel matters
Northern Lehigh School Board unanimously approved the following on Monday:
• Removed Christian Bilheimer from the district’s substitute teacher list. Bilheimer has accepted a permanent teaching position in another district.
• Accepted the resignation of Robert Wetzel from his position as second shift custodian, floating position, effective Feb. 16.
• Appointed Joshua Reimer as second shift custodian at Slatington Elementary School, replacing Rha-Keith Crosby, who resigned, at the rate of $13.07 per hour, from 2:30 to 11 p.m. five days a week, effective Feb. 16.
• Acknowledged that teacher Ryan Stillwell has completed the requirements per the Collective Bargaining Agreement that would entitle him to a salary increase.
• Approved Elizabeth Hannon and Jeff Miller as game workers for the 2017-18 school year.
• Appointed Greenwich Insurance Company as the district’s carrier for the School Police Officer Liability Insurance at a cost of $2,208 for a 15-month policy from March 14, 2018, through June 30, 2019.
• Appointed King Spry Herman Freund & Faul LLC as special counsel for the 2017-18 school year for services. The hourly rate will be $200 per hour for partners, $170 per hour for associates, and $95 per hour for paralegals.
