Lehighton Demos to meet March 7
The Lehighton Area Democratic Club will host Tibor Torok of Lehighton at its next meeting.
The group will meet at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Democratic Information Center, 182 S. First St., Lehighton.
Torok will share his experience as a Freedom Fighter in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
A retired software developer and International Manufacturing Executive,
Torok will discuss his escape at age 21 from Budapest and his path to citizenship in 1957.
He celebrates 61 years as a citizen, March 15, enjoying 42 of those years in Carbon County.
