A LOOK BACK FEBRUARY 5, 1974

During the morning worship service at Christ United Church of Christ, Fourth and Center streets, Jim Thorpe, on Feb. 3, M. Craig Feuerstein was ordained into the holy office of Deacon.

Craig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Feuerstein, 511 South Ave., Jim Thorpe, was elected to his holy office by the members of the church during their annual congregational meeting on Jan. 27.

He was baptized into the Christian faith on Oct. 18, 1954, by the Rev. Theodore E. Preuss and became a member of Christ UCC by Confirmation on March 30, 1969.

Other newly elected officials who were installed are Albert Helmer and Bruce Hurley, deacons, and James Mertz, Elwood Diehl, Ivan Remmel and Wilson Putt, elders.
