Jim Thorpe kindergarten registration dates announced
Kindergarten registration dates for Jim Thorpe Area School District’s 2018-19 school year have been set for March 19 through March 22.
Parents of children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2018, can set a registration appointment on March 19 and 20 with L.B. Morris School at 570-325-2703, or on March 21 and 22 at the Penn-Kidder Campus at 570-722-1150. The student does not need to attend the appointment, as prescreenings will be conducted later in the spring.
Before the appointment, the parent or guardian of the student must follow the online registration directions found on the Jim Thorpe Area School District website. Parents and guardians can go to www.jimthorpesd.org, select Parents, New to District, Enrollment, and click on Online Registration: 2018-19 School Year. Follow the listed directions to complete the registration. For any questions about the online enrollment process, contact the district registrar at 570-325-3691, ext. 3908.
Parents or guardians must bring required documentation, including proof of the student’s age, immunization records, two proofs of residency, photo identification, a custody agreement if necessary, and additional documentation, if applicable.
