Specialists join St. Luke’s Cardiology

Several doctors have joined St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates and the St. Luke’s Heart & Vascular Center. William Markson, MD; Todd Banning, DO; Ronald Stein, MD; and Lillian Gattone, PA-C of Cardiology Associates and Diagnostic Center LLC have joined St. Luke’ss as a result of the recent merger with Blue Mountain Health System.

They will continue to see patients at their current locations.

Dr. Markson earned his MD from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center and completed a fellowship in cardiology at the North Shore University Hospital, Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Banning earned his DO from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Suburban General Hospital and completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

Dr. Stein earned his MD from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, and completed an internship in internal medicine, a residency and a cardiology fellowship at the Long Island College Hospital.

Lillian Gattone, PA-C, holds a Masters in health science and physician assistant certfication from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She has been a physician assistant in cardiology for more than 12 years.

“By joining forces with this team of doctors, people in the region who need more advanced cardiac care will now benefit from the surgical and interventional care that St. Luke’s has to offer,” Durkin said.

Drs. Markson, Banning and Stein and Lillian Gattone serve St. Luke’s Palmerton Campus and St. Luke’s Gnaden Huetten Campus.
