March 20, 2009 — Corrine McConnville pitches a two-hit shutout to help Lehighton open its softball season with a 2-0 victory over Palisades. McConnville strikes out seven batters and walks three. She also helps her own cause by collecting two hits, one a double, and knocking in one of her team’s two runs. The Indians, coached by Ed Parliman, also receive a big day at the plate from Kristi Troch, who finishes with a double, triple, and RBI.
