Speed limits restored
PennDOT has lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County and US 22 in Lehigh and Northampton counties.Â

Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were earlier today to 45 mph on roadways in the region.

PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel but those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 45 mph on Interstate 78 in Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.

PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
