Tamaqua news
Active shooter
In light of recent events throughout the country, there has been a lot of talk about what to do in the event of an active shooter situation in public places.
An active shooter training seminar has been organized for April 7 in Tamaqua. The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette St. The seminar is open to the public, ages 12 and up. It will be presented by members of the Pennsylvania State Police as well as officers from the Tamaqua and Rush Township police departments.
Parking is available at the rear of the church.
Artist reception

Light refreshments will be served.
The public is welcome to attend.
The art center is located at 125 Pine St.
