Weatherly alumni receive $107,000 donation

The Weatherly Area High School Alumni Association board of directors President Todd A. Gimbi announced that the association has received a transfer of funds from The Loretta and Harry Allison Memorial Fund of In Faith Community Foundation in the amount of $107,505.04.

Gimbi thanked Robert Allison and his sister Nancy (Allison) Kolos for putting their trust in the Weatherly Area High School Alumni Association.

These funds will be invested with Primerica into an American Funds Investment Account.

The investment account will continue to pay the annual Loretta and Harry Allison Memorial Award given to a senior who qualifies (determined by the scholarship committee) who will attend a two-year technical school or college.

The Allisons will retain the right to determine the amount of the award.

Currently, the award is for $2,000.
