A look back: April 14, 1964

The Krill Foundation held its organizational meeting last evening in the office of attorney Murray Mackson in Palmerton.

The purpose of the meeting was to elect chairmen of various committees which will be instrumental in raising $10,000 to be added to the bequest of $60,000 made by Allen Krill for recreational program for the youths of the Palmerton area.

Heading the drive will be Bernard Mooney and attorney Mackson, Palmerton; Bill James, Towamensing Township; Allen Green, Carl Boyer and Alfred Price, Lower Towamensing Township; Earl Henning, door-to-door canvass; Steve Goidich and Michael Hallas, cooperative clubs; and Winston Scherer, business and industry.
