Spring cleanup
Spring Into Action: Earth Day Clean Up, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Join the group on Earth Day at the Education Interpretive Center and meet the park naturalist during the open house.
During the open house, learn about upcoming events and projects in the park. After checking out the Education Interpretive Center, take part in a parkwide spring cleanup event. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Sign up in advance as a conservation volunteer at https://www.volunteers.dcnr.state.pa.us/VolunteerApplication.aspx
Bring leather/canvas gloves, wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring along a lunch and drink, too. Projects include winter debris removal, trail maintenance, gardening with the Friends Group, litter pickup and much more.

Earth Day hike
Friends of Beltzville: Sawmill Trail Earth Day Hike: Sunday at 1 p.m. Meet at the Sawmill Run Trailhead off Old Mill Road.
This trail leads past several different habitats along the Sawmill Run Creek. Join the Friends after the hike and help garden. They will be cleaning up the Pollinator Garden located behind the EIC at 3 p.m. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water.
Garden Days
Friends of Beltzville State Park: Garden Days: Connect With Nature Sunday, 3 p.m. April 22.
The Friends have created a new butterfly/hummingbird garden and are looking for people who like to be outdoors, garden and learn.
Celebrate and assist those all-important (and beautiful) pollinators as they shape up the place for spring.
