Blue Raider Foundation event
The Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation will hold its annual meeting and fundraiser on May 7, at the Station Restaurant. The event starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and are available from any board member, the Beyrent Agency, 246 E. Broad St., or the law offices of Bowe, Lisella & Bowe, 109 W. Broad St.
President Robert A. Miller III said that last year’s grant recipients will have demonstrations and students will provide music. Both Miller and school superintendent Ray Kinder will make brief remarks.
The foundation is an independent organization that generates and distributes financial support to enrich and expand the educational experience of students in the Tamaqua Area School District.
