National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday
Got prescription pills that you are no longer taking?
National Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Here’s a chance to safely dispose of those bottles of pills that have been hiding in your medicine cabinet.
Here are some places you can take your outdated prescription drugs.
Carbon County
• Summit Hill Police Department, 40 W. Amidon St., Suite 1, Summit Hill.
• Beltzville State Park, E.I.C. Building, 2950 Pohopoco Drive, Lehighton. Follow signs in the park to drive up location.
Schuylkill County
Schuylkill County Sheriff will accept pills at the following locations:
• Coaldale Police Department, 221-223 Third St., Coaldale.
• St. Luke’s Miners Campus, 360 W. Ruddle St., Coaldale.
• Rush Township Police Department, 104 Mahanoy Ave., Tamaqua.
• Tamaqua Police Department, 320 Broad St., Tamaqua.
• Hometown Auction, 125 Mahanoy Ave., Route 54, Tamaqua.
• Mahanoy City Police Department, 239 E. Pine St., Mahanoy City.
• Orwigsburg Police Department, 209 N. Warren St., Orwigsburg.
• Schuylkill County Courthouse security entrance, Pottsville.
• McAdoo Police Department will also accept them at 29 N. Hancock St., McAdoo.
Monroe County
• Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, 2454 Route 940, Pocono Summit.
• St. Luke’s Health Network, Monroe campus, 100 St. Luke’s Lane, Stroudsburg.
