13 Nesquehoning properties have new addresses
Thirteen properties along a portion of the former Stock Street in Nesquehoning now have new addresses.
Borough council, on Wednesday, approved the new addresses for a number of Kovatch Ford and KME buildings along Route 54, which is now an extension of West Catawissa Street.
Last month, the board voted to change a portion of Stock Street, between the three-point intersection at the west end of town and Park Avenue over to West Catawissa.
At that meeting, council President David Hawk explained that council discussed options with house numbering and realized that there would be an issue since homes along Stock Street in the estates begin in the teens without such a street change.
New addresses for the buildings begin at 428 W. Catawissa St., which is the Kovatch Ford Sales building. The addresses continue at KME Inspection, 434; Kovatch Ford Sale, 444; KME Plant 9 Sales, 454; KME Plant 8B, 476; Quick Mart, 481; KME Plant 8, 516; Plant 7, 572; Plant 6, 756; Plant 3, 757; Plant 4, 897; and Plant 5, 898.
The Rev Group KME buildings have Catawissa Street addresses for 911 purposes but all use an Industrial Complex address for mailing purposes.
In addition, The Nesquehoning Conservation Club address is now 165 Industrial Road.
The address changes take effect immediately.
