May 3, 2002 — Bryon Moser and Don Evans both hit home runs to help Jim Thorpe gain a 10-5 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley. Moser finishes the contest with three hits, one of them a two-run homer in the second inning that gives his team the lead, and two runs. Evans connects for a solo shot in the third, and ends the game with two hits and three runs scored. The Olympians, coached by John Searfoss, also receive three hits from Derrick Reis and two from Lucas Herman, while Mark Klotz earns the pitching win. For the Panthers, Rich Evanko and P.J. Yurick both hit homers.
