A look back: May 12, 1967

A capacity crowd attended and enjoyed the third annual spring concert of the musical organizations of the Lehighton Area Junior High School held in the high school, North 10th Street. Paul R. Smith, supervisor of music in the junior high school, directed the performance.

Annette Grynkewich, a young accomplished pianist and soprano soloist, played a piano solo, and Kenneth Leffler presented a clarinet solo with band background.

Selections were rendered by the 70-piece junior high school band and the 85-member seventh-grade girls’ chorus, with the finale being rendered by the combined choruses.
