Claudette Williams gained a spot on the Democratic ticket to go up against incumbent state Rep. Jack Rader for the 176th district. Williams defeated Tia Fritz by a 1,326-472 margin.

In the 189th district, Adam Rodriguez defeated Christa Caceres for a spot on the Democratic ballot. Rodriguez will challenge incumbent Rosemary Brown in November.
