Franklin Lions give $10,000
Six organizations receive donations from the Franklin Township Lions Club on Thursday that totaled $10,000. Six organizations were awarded checks by the Franklin Township Lions Club on Thursday that totaled $10,000.
Recipients were:
• Franklin Township Fire Company, $2,500
• Lehighton Area Memorial Library, $2,500
• Trinity Church Food Bank, $2,500
• Leader Dog For the Blind, $1,000
• Family Promise of Carbon County, $750
• Carbon County Environmental Center, $750
The donations were given at a meeting of the club at Phifer’s Ice Dam in the township.
