Stadium Hill closed for painting
Stadium Hill in Tamaqua is closed to traffic today as students prepare to red, white and blue wash the street in preparation for Memorial Day. Tamaqua Area Senior High School teacher Lori Remmel and her students created a design that incorporates a flowing American flag.
Work began at 8 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until the project is completed. Motorists should seek alternate routes. The project is part of the monthlong series of events planned by Tamaqua Remembers. KATHY KUNKEL/TIMES NEWS
