Schuylkill driver cited after crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday along Bridge Street in Union Township.

State police at Frackville said Brandon R. McGee, 20, of Girardville, was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 southbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve. He lost control of the Pontiac due to his speed and the condition of the tires on the vehicle, troopers said. The car spun counterclockwise and slid off the road onto the berm where it struck a guide rail. The car came to rest against the guide rail.

McGee was not injured. The car was towed from the scene.
