A look back: June 6, 1969

The appointment of Vince Spisak as recreation director at Lake Hauto for the 1969 season has been announced by Carl Ronemus, president of the Lake Hauto Club.

Spisak, who is employed during the regular year as a health and physical education teacher and athletic coach in the Panther Valley School District, has been recreation director of summer programs for the school district for the past two years.

He plans a full program of swimming, instruction, lifesaving classes, water safety courses and planned recreational activities, including tennis tournaments, softball games, hiking trips and other organized events, to be offered to Lake Hauto’s more than 400 property owners.
