Road work this week

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced the upcoming road and bridge work in the region this week.

Carbon County

• Lausanne Township: Buck Mountain Road between Eckley Road and Lehigh Gorge Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, Tuesday and Wednesday.

• Kidder Township: Interstate 80 East between Exit 274 (Route 534) and Monroe County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

• Kidder Township: Interstate 80 East between Exit 277 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) and Monroe County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, Thursday.

• Penn Forest Township: Jonas Road between Route 903 and Maury Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Palmerton/Bowmanstown: Route 248 between Route 209 and Northampton County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Penn Forest Township: Route 903 between Maury Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

• Mahoning Township: Packerton Dam Road between Route 902 and Route 209, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

• Packer Township: Planes Road between Route 93 and Lehigh Gorge Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

Lehigh County

• Upper Macungie and Salisbury Townships: Interstate 78 between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 59 (Route 145), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

• Upper Macungie/Lower Macungie (Allentown), Interstate 78 between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Lower Macungie Township: Interstate 78 East between Exit 52 (Route 222) and Exit 54 (Route 222), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

• Interstate 78 (ramps) between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

Monroe County

• Tobyhanna Township: Interstate 80 West between Exit 293 (Interstate 380) and Exit 284 (Route 115), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday,

• Eldred Township: Kunkletown Road between Borger Road and Blue Mountain Hideaway, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, Monday and Tuesday.

• Hamilton Township: Middle East Belmont Pike between Route 209 (business) and Bush Lane, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• Tamaqua / West Penn Townships: Route 309 between Route 209 and Route 443, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
