Farmers reminded to report acreage

The Schuylkill County Farm Service Agency County Committee reminds producers to submit their annual report of acreage to the Schuylkill County FSA office to meet FSA program eligibility requirements.

Deadline for all spring seeded small grain crops and spring seeded forage seedings (barley, oats, rye, hay) is Friday.

Deadline for all other planted crops is July 15.

Accurate acreage reports are necessary to determine and maintain eligibility for various programs authorized in the 2014 Farm Bill, such as the agriculture risk coverage and price loss coverage.
