Damages are minor in parking lot mishap

Damages to two vehicles were termed minor after a mishap at 5:37 p.m. June 4 in a parking lot off Molasses Valley Road in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said Kelly A. Driscoll, 50, of Kunkletown, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, entered the lot and was attempting to turn around when the vehicle struck a 2002 Ford Explorer operated by Megan K. Silvius, 28, of Palmerton, while it was in reverse.

Neither driver was injured.

Police said Driscoll was cited for the incident.
