A look back: June 21, 1967

The Carbon County Planning Commission staged its annual organization meeting in the courthouse last night and retained all officers with the exception of its secretary.

William Danneberg, Palmerton, was named to succeed John R. Williamson, Weatherly, R.D. Williamson continues as a member of the board but is unable to serve as secretary because he is recuperating from a recent illness.

Other officers who were retained include Charles Wildoner, Jim Thorpe, chairman; Luther Getz, Albrightsville, vice chairman; and Joseph L. Boyle, Jim Thorpe, treasurer.

The board recommended R.D. Edwards, Lansford, Harold Hamm, Lehighton, R.D., and Getz be reappointed to the board by the county commissioners.
