Carbon County Commissioners

The Carbon County Commissioners, on Thursday, approved the following action:

• An amendment to the annual maintenance contract with Tyler Technologies for the 911 Center computer-aided dispatch software through Feb. 28, 2018. The action involves an additional invoice of $11,477 in services that was not in the original invoice paid by the county on Jan. 12, 2017.

• Renewal of the annual standard software maintenance agreement with Tyler Technologies for the 911 Center CAD software from March 1 through Feb. 28, 2019 at a cost of $53,850.

• Retirement of Bryan S. Koch of Lehighton, corrections officer, effective July 2.

• Resignation of Alec DeLong of Palmerton as corrections officer, effective June 10.

• Employment separation of Robert W. Merkel III of Palmerton, deputy coroner, effective June 14.

• Changes of status for Joseph P. Gannecilli of Tamaqua from part-time corrections officer/Teamsters to corrections officer, effective July 2; Kendall J. Juracka of Jim Thorpe, from part-time corrections officer to special deputy sheriff trainee, effective June 25; Abigail E. Baptiste of Albrightsville, from special deputy sheriff trainee to special deputy sheriff, effective May 18; Mark S. Nalesnik of Lansford, from emergency management coordinator and special deputy sheriff trainee to emergency management coordinator and special deputy sheriff, effective May 18; Carla A. Fritz of Lehighton, from bench warrant clerk in the clerk of courts office to part-time clerk in archives, effective June 25.

• Hiring of Shauna R. Schnell of Tamaqua as part-time dispatcher trainee in the communications center, effective June 25; and Joseph F. Zemaitaitis of Jim Thorpe as a lifeguard, effective June 23.

• Court appointments of Tyler J. Breznitsky of Freeland, law clerk, effective June 25; and Jonathan P. Phillips of Orwigsburg, law clerk, effective June 29.

• Coroner appointments of Jennifer L. Dempsey of Weatherly and Shawn E. Clark of Lansford as deputy coroners, effective June 25.
