A look back: June 22, 1962
The board of directors of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital Corporation nominated six people to be elected to its board at the upcoming meeting to be held in the Lehighton Municipal Building.
They include attorney Russell Chaplinsky, Walter Moyer, Mrs. George Trexler, attorney William Bayer and the Rev. Benton Zettelmoyer, all of Lehighton, and Charles Bonner of Nesquehoning.
Carlos Baer and Gordon Merluzzi were nominated but did not accept the nomination and will withdraw as members of the board, citing “the press of business activities” as their reason.
