A look back: June 26, 1981
Three Carbon County residents have been nominated by Gov. Dick Thornburgh to serve on the board of directors of the Coaldale State General Hospital.
They are Edward B. Michalik of Summit Hill plumbing and heating contractor; Florence Tarlton of Lansford, who is the current chairwoman of the board of trustees and member of the hospital’s Ladies Auxiliary; and Joseph Vadyak of Lansford, co-owner of Vadyak Advertising and Lithography and a member of the Lansford Planning Commission.
The nominations to the nonsalaried board require Senate confirmation. The three terms would run until January 1987.
