Truck tips over, car hits tree in Schuylkill incidents
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:45 a.m. June 30 along Keystone Boulevard in Foster Township. Troopers said Jhoan A. Hernandez, 41, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2000 Freightliner tractor with trailer on Route 901 and attempting to turn onto Keystone Boulevard when the load shifted in the trailer. This caused both the tractor and trailer to tip over on Keystone Boulevard. Hernandez was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
The second crash occurred at 10:26 a.m.Monday along Green Tree Drive in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Jerome F. Kimmel, 41, of Auburn, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer westbound when the driver dropped something in the vehicle. He reached to pick it up and the Blazer left the road and collided with a tree with its front end. The Blazer came to rest against the tree.
Kimmel was injured and flown to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was cited for the crash.
