New tunnel begins to take shape at Tamaqua project

A pre-cast concrete arch was positioned at the Tamaqua Wabash Bridge Project on Monday, one of two that arrived on a flatbed early in the day. The arch covers part of a concrete foundation poured last week and replaces the original 166-year-old stone arch at this section of the creek as it flows beneath the downtown. DONALD R.
