July 5, 1995 — Bob Young comes through at the plate and on the mound to help the Palmerton Bombers post a 6-4 victory over Jim Thorpe #1 in the championship game of the Carbon-Schuylkill Youth Baseball League. Young pitches four innings in relief, allowing an unearned run while striking out eight, to gain the win. He also delivers a two-run single and an RBI ground out to aid his cause. Josh Westbrook collects two hits, one a triple, and knocks in two runs for the winners, coached by Jeff Rehrig. For Thorpe, Casey Hydro finishes with two RBIs.
