A look back: July 6, 1964
Filming of “The Wedding Party,” a 90-minute motion picture by Ondine Productions, New York City, will start tomorrow morning, it was announced today by Joanne Chapin, Stamford, Connecticut, business manager for the company.
The bulk of the photography and acting will take place in the Asa Packer Mansion, Jim Thorpe.
Chapin met this morning with representatives of the borough and Lions Club, the latter of which is sponsoring the film program under its caretaker agreement with the borough.
The filming is expected to last three weeks to a month during which time about 25 Ondine personnel will be quartered at the Hotel American.
