Kunkletown woman charged with assault
A 25-year-old Kunkletown woman has been charged with simple assault of three people in an incident that happened at 9:42 p.m. Sundayon Dotter's Corner Road, Polk Township.
State police at Lehighton said the woman assaulted three people, all from Kunkletown, including a 29-year-old man and two women, ages 18 and 53.
Police said they were called to the scene to investigate a report of a woman having struck a man in the face, reportedly knocking out the crowns in his teeth.
Police said the victim and the woman fled the scene into the woods. Later, police said it was reported that the suspect had also struck both women in the face, resulting in a small cut on the one's ear and a cut on the second woman's eyebrow area.
Police said when the assailant and the man returned to the residence, the woman was taken into custody and arrested.
