Retail thefts

Area police reports retail thefts:

Lansford police:

• Robert Clifford III, 22, 16 W. Abbott St., Lansford, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property on May 29.

• Charles Thatcher VII, 20, of 69 Second St., Coaldale, was charged with retail theft on May 28.

• Alexander Modawar, 36, of 608 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, was charged with retail theft on June 23.

• State police at Schuylkill Haven said Michael Spirko of Pottsville was observed in BG's Value Market in Norwegian Township removing various items from the store without paying for them. In addition to the theft count he was also charged with receiving stolen property. The incident occurred between 12:12 and 12:40 p.m. July 13.
