Estimated $11,000 in equipment is stolen

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of equipment valued at an estimated $11,000 from a site in Chestnuthill Township.

The theft occurred between 7:30 a.m. July 10 and 2 p.m. July 11.

The victim is IB Abel Inc., York.

Police said someone removed two attachments for a Caterpillar skid loader from a parking lot near the intersection of Merwinsburg Road and State Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

The stolen property included a Caterpillar Power Rake/Pre-Seeder valued at $10,000 and a Scar Fire valued at $1,000.
