Lane restrictions near raceway

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reminds race fans traveling to Pocono Raceway and others traveling to the Pocono Mountain single lane conditions exist on Interstate 80 eastbound in Monroe County between exits 284 (Blakeslee / PA 115) and 293 (Scranton / JCT I-380).

All lanes are anticipated to be open late Saturday afternoon.

Motorists should then expect reinstatement of long-term lane restrictions on Monday morning.

A $6,988,050 highway repair project began on this section of I-80 east in July 2017, and is anticipated to be complete this September.

Work includes milling, concrete patching, joint cleaning and sealing, paving, updating guide rail, and installing new pavement markings.
