Woman cited for disorderly conduct

A Tamaqua woman was cited on July 2 after officers were called to the 300 block of East Broad Street for an unwanted person.

The call was made at 3:45 p.m. by the leasee, who wanted Kathy Dee Tonkin, 21, removed from the property and cited for trespassing. Officers were told that Tonkin was no longer allowed on the premises and had broken a kitchen door to gain access.

Tonkin began yelling and screaming, telling police she lived in the home, which has been her legal address.

The leasee was told she would need to legally evict Tonkin from the property before police could cite her for trespassing.

Tonkin was cited for disorderly conduct.
