Carbon drivers in 3-vehicle crash

Two Carbon County drivers were involved in a three-vehicle, rear-end crash at 5:16 p.m. on Monday along Route 100 in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Scott P. Breininger, 29, of New Tripoli, Christopher D. Saunders, 33, of Lehighton, and Alexander A. Orr, 31, of Palmerton, were all northbound. Troopers said the front bumper of Breininger’s 2018 Chevrolet Silverado truck struck the rear of Saunders’ 1976 Chevrolet Corvette, pushing it into the rear of Orr’s 2011 Ford Fusion.

No one was injured. The Corvette was towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Breininger for following too closely.
