Panther Valley Senior center
The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Aug. 6-10 is:
Monday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, cauliflower and peas and fresh melon or turkey Swiss wrap
Tuesday: Baked fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, broccoli and pudding or chicken Cobb salad
Wednesday: Chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, green beans tossed salad and chocolate mousse or turkey hoagie
Thursday: Hawaiian brisket, braised cabbage, mashed potatoes and pineapple dream or tuna wrap
Friday: Ham with pineapple, brown rice, Asian vegetables and peach crisp or chicken, bacon sandwich
The senior center also announced activities for Aug. 6-17.
What’s in Your Bag will be played on Aug. 6 at 11 a.m.; Scattergories on Aug. 7 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Aug. 8 at 11 a.m.; a Sunshine Meeting will be held on Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. followed by trivia at 11 a.m.; National S’mores day is on Aug. 10 come in and make a S’more at 11 a.m.
Birthday and Bingo on Aug. 13 at 11 a.m.; Horseracing on Aug. 14 at 11 a.m.; a bus trip to Mohegan Sun on Aug. 15 leaving at 10 a.m.; Nickel-Keeno on Aug. 16 at 11 a.m.; a picnic will be held at Jim Thorpe Memorial Park Pavilion on Aug. 17 starting at 10 a.m.
Nesquehoning
VFW Auxiliary
The regular monthly meeting of the VFW Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial Post 8008 will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the Post home.
All members are invited to attend.
VFW blood drive
The Nesquehoning VFW will sponsor a Miller-Keystone blood drive from 3 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 22 at the post home, 300 E. Center St.

The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Aug. 7.

Blood drive
A Miller-Keystone blood drive will take place at St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill from 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 21 in the St. Joseph Social Hall, 462 W. Ludlow St.
