Schuylkill woman cited for assault

A Schuylkill County woman has been charged with simple assault and harassment as the result of an incident that occurred on Friday along Bobb Alley in the village of Cumbola, Blythe Township, about 4:30 p.m.

State police at Frackville said Melissa Ann Rossin, 41, engaged in a domestic dispute with a 46-year-old maleand during it she subjected the man to physical contact.

She was arraigned by on-call District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, on the charges and was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $7,500 cash bail.
