Schuylkill County thefts

• State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a lawn tractor from a Schuylkill County property.

Troopers said a resident of Ringtown Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township, reported a 1998 Toro Wheelhouse 520H lawn tractor was removed from a barn on his property sometime between July 25 at 9:50 p.m. and July 26 at noon.

The tractor is red and has a 48-inch mower deck. It bears serial number 79100.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• A Schuylkill County man has been charged with shoplifting.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Joseph Yurkonis, 24, of Pottsville, entered the BG’s Market, in Norwegian Township, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and left the store with steaks valued at $65.66 without paying for them. He was cited for retail theft.

• State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft at a Schuylkill County property.

Troopers said on Saturday they were called to 11 Woodland Drive, Pine Grove, by Roy Lehr, 79, who reported someone removed 20 foot of plexiglass worth about $100, from his deer blind. The blind is located about 300 yards southeast from the front of the residence.
