Carbon County court — DUI

Four defendants in pending criminal cases entered guilty pleas on Friday to driving under the influence charges in Carbon County court.

Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted pleas from the following:

Ashley Marie Schaeffer, 36, of Summit Hill, was arrested on Sept. 2, 2016, along Seneca Road in by Mahoning Township police. She refused a blood test.

Sentencing was deferred as she has a pending DUI charge in Lycoming County.

Brandee Holly Boroznoff, 25, of Pittston, Luzerne County, was arrested on July 26, 2015, by Mahoning Township police along North First Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so Boroznoff can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Chasity Elizabeth Reed, 24, of Tresckow, was arrested on Nov. 27, 2016, by state police at Hazleton along Fern Street in Banks Township. A test revealed a 0.18 BAC.

Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program, house arrest.

Roland Albert Vega Coellar, 21, of Hazleton, was arrested on June 13, 2017, along Second Street by Weatherly police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.
