  • Empty

The culinary crew at Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua held an ice cream social to benefit the Citizen’s Fire Company as the firefighters were unable to hold their annual block party due to a road construction project. Robert Jones of Zion’s presented a check for $2,000 to Citizens Fire Chief Jason Hartz this week. The money was raised through the social and donations from individuals, businesses and Zion’s outreach fund. With Hartz are fellow Citizens members, Capt. Jason Green, Lt. Francis Betz and firefighters Josh Holmberg and Austin Bennage. Members of the fire company assisted Zion’s culinary crew in the kitchen and dining area during the social. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
