Published July 25. 2016 01:12PM

Elizabeth A. Elberfeld, 24, of Orwigsburg, was cited by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracksafter having caused a collision at 9:17 p.m. Monday at the intersection of routes 183 and 443 in Wayne Township.

Police said no one was injured in the two-vehicle crash, which happened when Elberfeld, driving a 2013 Jeep Compass south on Route 183, attempted to turn left at the intersection with Route 443 and struck a 2004 Ford Taurus operated by Heather M. MacCarone, 28, of Pottsville. The latter was northbound on Route 183 at the time.

Police said the Taurus was pushed northeast and hit a traffic light electrical box before coming to rest.

Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
