Saylorsburg man injured in Ross
Charles L. Hildabrant, 95, of Saylorsburg, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:28 a.m. July 23 at the intersection ofOld Route 115 and Anchorage Road in Ross Township.
State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was transported to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, in the West End Ambulance. The severity of his injuries was not known, police said.
The crash occurred when Hildabrant was driving a 2007 Jeep Wrangler on Anchorage Road. Police said he stopped at the intersection with Old Route 115 but failed to yield to oncoming traffic, entering the intersection directly in the path of a 2006 Nissan Murano operated by Carlos E. Guerra, 65, of Albrightsville.
The latter was southbound on Old Route 115 at the time.
Police said the Murano struck the driver's side of the Wrangler, causing moderate damages to both vehicles. They were towed from the scene.
Guerra was not injured.
Police said Hildabrant was cited for stop and yield signs violations.
