Kunkletown woman hurt in assault

A 46-year-old woman from Kunkletown has been arrested for simple assault for injuring a 23-year-old woman, also from Kunkletown, in a physical altercation that took place. July 27 at the Shell Gas Station, located at Route 534 and the 8000 block of Robinhood Drive in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said the older woman struck the 23-year-old twice with the passenger side door of her vehicle. Police said the victim was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of injuries. Police did not release the names of those involved.
