Monroe man jailed after assault

Raymond Ianuale, 55, of 153 Alpha Drive, Jackson Township, was arrested on aggravated assault charges and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after an incident at 1:03 a.m. July 19.

Police said Ianuale and a woman argued and Ianuale tackled the woman to the ground and wrapped a cellphone charger cord around her neck.
