Locked vehicles broken into in Monroe

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks are investigating an incident where four locked vehicles were broken into in the parking lot of the Living Historical Farm, 347 Quiet Valley Road, Hamilton Township.

Police said the thefts were reported at 3:08 p.m. Sept. 1. The victims are women from Moscow, Mount Bethel, Yardley and Richboro.

Police said in all of the incidents, windows were smashed out of the vehicles. Police also said that in all of the vehicles entered, purses that were left out in open view were stolen, as were two wallets and an Apple iPhone.

In some of the cases, credit cards, cash and other personal information were stolen.
