Let the old bridge go
Editor,
It's August now, the new bridge is done and in use for a few weeks. A few kinks need to be worked out till we get used to the new stops and goes, but all in all it's a good fit!
From the big dilemma, the beams are coming, the beams are coming, the beams are coming to the end of the whole project, there was not too much of a problem with traffic. We knew there were gonna be some tie-ups, and there were but they say temporary inconvenience, permanent improvement.
A pat on the back to all who were involved with the project. A good job was done by all! You can hardly notice the 18-inch dip, where the pillar sank, when you're driving over the span. I don't know where that rumor started.
As far as the old bridge goes, may it rest in pieces; it served its purpose. The horse is dead, stop beating it!
